Cheers Poppa Joe, I'll keep that in mind- need to make sure it looks as good as it can be!

OK, now I spent a while not doing much with the fridge because of a lack of inspiration coming from my original idea. I decided that a pattern wouldn't hold my interest for very long so I decided to change it to being a piece of expression. So, I've changed to do that. I have painted the whole of the freezer door black and am working on what will be there. I have already added one element, which is the sun crying blood in a black sky (the reason why I painted the whole thing black in the first place). Here is the freezer door with this element:

"Gonna paint your wagon, gonna paint it good,
Gonna use an oil based paint,
'Cuz it's not made of wood"

Gunna paint your wagon, gunna paint it good.
We aint braggin, were gunna coat that wood.

Gunna, paint that wagon, gunna paint it fine.
Gunna use oil-based paint, because the wood is pine.

Ponderosa Piiiiiiiine!

IMO at present it looks pretty bland, though beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It may be interesting when it 's finally finished. I'll reserve my final judgement up until then. It has been a SLOW project! Are you a council worker by any chance ;)

I've added a lot more since then- but not completed that section yet.

Not a council worker; but still a busy person! I work on it not very often. When uni finishes for the year (I've got a while yet; and many, many words too) I'll work on it a bit more often. Some more pics to come; but it's at a 'middle point' where it will change a bit yet.

you should try an approach of getting really pissed and completing the work before dawn, so you have to commit and not wuss around with it for years.
