Hi guys

I made a fatal error when bottling my first batch of beer, i only used one carb drop for a long neck instaed of two. The brew is 2 months old and ive only just realised. Is it possible to open all bottles and put another carb drop in? Or would I be better off leaving it? i ve also thought about using dextrose and measuring tool and using maybe 1.5 teaspoons to allow for any that would lost when opeinging the bottles. Also maybe even adding some fresh yeast to get it going.

Any info you can share is greatly appreciated even if you can point me to an old post that covers this topic, i did have a quick look but couldnt find what I was looking for.

Thanks

My vote goes with just drink it :drinks:

From my experience, two was two many anyway, one and a half would be perfect.

At least with less carb the malt will come through nicely :beerbang:

What do you think of the flavour currently?

well im certainly not going to throw it away lol drink it flat drink it warm does nt matter just dont throw it out! :)

flavour is ok, it was my very first and rough batch used ingredientst that came with fermenter kit etc, by no means is it bad i am just over critical and expect to be brewing award winning beers immedaitely .. lol

seriously though everythign is fine except for carb, there is gas when opeing it just fades quickly onced poured....

As Bob said, if you can drink them like they are then fine, if you need more carb chill them very very cold, open, add carb drop and close. You shouldn't loose much carb if they're really cold. Might take a few weeks at room temp to carb up though, but they will eventually. No need to add yeast.

EDIT: loose not use

thanks mate, i might give it a try on a couple and see how that goes before do the whole batch! there arent too bad if you drink them quickly lol
