FWIW Chaps Grain and Grape are now selling the Shirron plate heat exchangers. They'd just taken delivery a week or so ago. 
Prices are roughly (and don't quote me) about $250.
They've also taken stock of the Chillus Convolutus. Prices are similiar.

the price depends on the capacity.
One can get HE with 12 plates, with 20 plates, o.s.o.
also the lenght varied as the price does.
your picture shows a very large one, looks expensive
Im using a 20 plates, 30KW HE, / 189 X 72 X 50 mm
thats enough for us.
