dunno if it's a silly questio or not, but is it possible to brew non-alcoholic beer??
the old man cannot drink anything with an alcoholic content, but still enjoys the flavour of coopers/birrell crap.
i'd like to be able to do him something half decent to drink.
anything????

Here's a good link.

I'm going to try the evaporation method some time to give my teetotaler relatives something to chug on that doesn't rot the teeth as soon as it touches them.

Actually, on closer reading, the second method might be a better bet, at least for an AG brewer. Might be trickier for an extract/kit brewer, although if you used a high % of maltodextrin it could help.

Should note, of course, that these methods won't give you a 'no-alcohol' beer, just a very low-alcohol beer. But then I don't think Birrell is alcohol free, just very low.
