As soon as your at pitching temperature, otherwise there will be yeast out there pitching itself, along with other undesirables.

weal is correct but life does get in the way of brewing sometimes! If you have no chilled (all grain) and the beer went in hot and its not been open then you can get away with a few days the longer you wait the higher the risk…
If it's a canned beer kit mixed warm do it as soon as its at pitching temp as weal says….
