Firstly mods not sure if this is the right place so please move it as you see fit but its not an ad!

I dropped into TWOC today to get some yeast and saw that he has a lot of new toys in from morebeer. The prices weren't too bad either which was suprising. I was eyeing off an adjustable pressure relief valve that is fitted to a disconnect for $29.95 which compares pretty well to the price of getting it from the states.

Also some nice shiny stainless bling conicals but I didn't look at the price of those

Not sure why anyone would want an adjustable pressure relief valve on the keg though. The pressure relief valve works fine. Apparently the cylindro conicals at ~$800 each.

Al its for when you filter beer with one of those really fine absolute micron filters, they can only stand a very small pressure differential before they break (check out this thread and others)

or grahams sanders filtering page on the ozcraftbrewer site

You use it by pressurising the serving and receiving kegs to the same pressure then using the adjustable relief valve on the receiving keg to bleed off a little pressure to start and maintain a constant flow as you trasnfer through the filter.

As for the conicals OUCH!

Hopefully a plastics company will come to the my rescue and sell a 100L double walled (for glycol chilling) food grade plastic cylindro conical...that would be nice. Think im dreamin tho :D .

When i first started brewing I used to be mad keen to filter beer and make it perfectly clear, these days i see cloudy beer and think great, some nice homebrew. :beerbang:
