Hi all,

I'm a few batches of all grain BIAB deep now including two APA's, a light American Lager, and a Pilsner.

Now I'm going to head to a partial with a goal of cost savings and yet get a decent tasting beer.

For my next batch I plan on doing the following:

Mash 2kg of a traditional ale grain 60min @64C, then boil for about 50min. Will adjust to 23L after flame out and add a can of Cooper's Draught. Nottingham yeast will be used for fermentation.

I'm not planning on adding any hops whether it be for bittering, aromatic or flavour... I want this one to be as inexpensive as possible. But also and perhaps more importantly, I want to find out what this canvas would be like without any additions. I have few of these cans (fresh) that I got for free...

Thanks for your thoughts!

Bribie G sometimes makes kit/partial mixes.

Yeast will play a big factor in the resulting beer if you are not adding additional hops as the hop profile will be almost entirely limited to bitterness.

Great, I will see if I can find out some more info on what Birdie G is doing.

I didn't realise I would be limited to bitterness. Might have to think up some late hop additions or dry hopping then. I've been wanting to experiment with Amarillo. (The guy at my local HBS is in love with it.)
