Hi all, I am now onto building my second brewery! my first was a 50lt HERMS system made from Kegs. I am now building a 300lt or 80gal brewery. I am building this with the possibility of going commercial nano brewery or just have a kick ass home brewery.

The main specs are

400lt or 105 gal direct fired Kettle 180,000 BTU duckbill burner
300lt or 80 gal mash tun mounted on a tipper with an in line or RIMS system heater.
200lt or 52 gal HLT electrically heated.
2x March 809 magnetic drive pumps
Fittings will be Tri Clover style
Hoses are Pharmaceutical grade silicone
2 stage braised plate heat exchanger.

I am going to use a instant gas hot water system to save on gas and power usage for initial strike temps.

Anyway here is the progress so far..

Keep posting the updates, looks awesome!

Cheers

Haha there might be some Fresh Work Kits coming out of Perth sometime soon. Looks awesome man.

Why such a small HLT? I always find i need my HLT to be the largest of all my vessels? Looks very nice though.

looks like you'll only be brewing once a year !! :icon_cheers:

excellent work, i look forward to seeing the final product

out of interest, have you run any calculations on the output of that burner and the volume of wort you will be boiling ?

Because I am using a instant Hot water system I only need the HLT for sparging. 200 liters is plenty of volume to rinse whats in a 300 lt mash tun.

No I haven't done the calcs on the burner but I have a friend with a similar setup and it does the job just fine, I wont be boiling more than 300lt at any time. I got a 400 lt kettle because I hate boil overs!!!

Fair enough. That'd be handy having instant hot water - especially for cleaning. Good luck with it all.

Oh man this looks sweet. I wish I had some man-skills. I only have brewing and even then I could be considered a shit man at best.

Maybe if I get some Clag and some nails I could get creative with my own Copper Tun system

Nice work driller, been following te progress from the usa site. Im glad you have gone triclovers. No other option would cut it for this system....good darts
