Hi folks,
I brewed up an oatmeal stout and all went pretty well. The only bit I should have done different was to boil the oats separately from the grain. Putting it all in one pot caused filtering to be a real pain in the butt so I ended up putting it through a colander.
This has caused a reasonable amount of smaller grain and oat bits to settle at the bottom of my fermenter blocking any liquid coming out of the tap.
So obviously this is going to cause a problem when kegging time comes along.
Will pouring it very gently into another fermenter barrel cause too much oxidation?
Thanks
