Hey guys,

Have had a bit of a break from the brewing over the Christmas break due to me not being around the house much to look after things.

But now...stocks are low, 3 bottles low and I need something ASAP!

Just looking through the ingredients around the house and wondering what I can brew. Not the most experienced with 'making recipies up' so was wondering if anyone would like to chip in with some ideas? I have;

I should mention that I do BIAB batches around 12 L (equipment restrictions).

Grain
Lots of Vienna
Lots of Wheat
Lots of Munich I
Lots of Caramunich I
Lots of Dark Crystal
Lots of Carafa II
Lots of Chocolate malt
1kg of Pilsner

Hops
EKG
Fuggles
Apollo
Centennial
Chinook
Citra
Spalt
Mt Hood

Yeast
US-05

Any thought's on somehting fairly simple? Just looking for an easy drinking brew to stock the shelf until I get my head around a proper recipe for the following brew.

Hoping to brew this tomorrow. Thanks heaps for any suggestions!!!

For 20-22 L batch:

1 kg pils
2 kg vienna
2kg munich

Spalter at 60, 20 and zero to hit your preferred IBU level (I'd say anything between 30 and 50).

Ferment cool and you almost have an alt. 1007 would see you right but the yeast is the limitation.

Just read the 12 L limitation so approximately half the grist, taking into account your system, including evaporation losses. Scale my weights into percentages for easier translation.

i would use the Pils with the rest vienna.

Dump all the Centennial Chinook and Citra in in a mixed 20, 10, 0 min APA :)

1.050, 40 IBU..... hoppy as hell :)

Brown ale
3kg Vienna
250g Caramunich
50g Chocolate

Chinook 60 mins
Centennial late
Citra dry

US05

Awesome guys, thank you very much!

I'll sleep on those suggestions and see what tickles my fancy in the morning.

33L water
4.5kg pils
0.5kg chocolate
0.25kg crystal (I use joe white crystal which I think is fairly light so would cut dark back)
0.25kg munich
Goldings / Fuggles 60min for about 30 ibu
nottingham yeast

I'm not expert but I made this recipe with slightly different hops and it turned out great.
