Hi,

I have a few grains here and are after any advice on what to make with them, I like most beers (golden ale, pale ale, sparkling ale, stout/guiness, pilsner)

I have the following grains:

BB Ale Malt
BB Wheat Malt
Marris Otter
Medium Crystal
Caramalt
Caramunich II
Carapils

Thanks all

What hops you got or will you be buying to suit?

ESB with marris otter and crystal gets my vote.

Bitter to 30-40 IBU with UK hops and use a good liquid yeast.

I dont have alot of hops on hand so i will need to purchase some anyway.

I don't use beersmith but here is my recent case swap ESB http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum//ind...amp;recipe=1122.

Feedback generally pretty good, I love it and will brew it again. I would recommend, based on feedback from others, that you drop the carbonate addition (or just forget the salts altogether- should still come out fine).

It is dry hopped - this could be omitted if you want (personally I like it).

I have made other decent ESBs using Marris otter as a base (whatever gravity, efficiency etc you have will define how much - say 5kg) and around 500g medium crystal then bittered with UK hop to hit target IBU. Extra bitterness is good because the crystal and the MO will make it malty and sweet. Really simple brews, very tasty.
