If it goes the way on monteiths... the locals will reject the out-of-town product.
Really Macs has been an icon in Nelson for a very long time, and they make good beer, so most of the market will be wary of any change.

And to think I helped build that brewery
The amount of beer I consumed that I bought direct from the cellar door ( I grew up just down the road ).
I guess they have to grow, but like the article says, if they ever move out of Nelson (Stoke) then it will be a big mistake.
I guess similar things have happened with James Squire with them moving Amber Ale to Tooheys at Lidcombe.
I just hope the Nelson brewery still gets to do the seasonals.
