Hey everyone,

I've been mucking around with a few porters over the last month or so - read here somewhere about people using lager yeats, so thought I'd give it a go.

It's now in the fermementer, OG about 1050, in the fridge at about 15C - how long do people think it should sit for now??

When doing ales I rack after 4/5 days primary - how much longer should I allow in primary for lager yeast? Haven't used lager yeast for ages so not sure how long to leave it.

thanks

Yep, no worries go for it. Just ferment it for around 2 weeks at 12-14 degrees until it's finished and maybe up the temp to ale temps for a couple of days.

I've actually got a dry stout/baltic porter chugging away with some S189 as we speak. Smelling wonderful.
