Kegging System Prices....

Hey!

I was looking to start to keg some of my beer instead of only bottling, however I have no equipment.

I was just wondering about how much I'd be looking at spending to get everything I need to start kegging some beer. I'd almost certainly be looking to go the cheapest route.

Hi,
I got most of my gear of eBay - taps, hose, kegs, disconnects, even the freezer.
Rest of the stuff I needed I went through Ross @ CraftBrewer and Mashmaster for the temp control unit (up top of page).

Here is the approximate cost of a basic 2 keg 1 tap (through fridge door) setup

It can be done for cheaper - but I'd recommend the john guest fittings

It's really how long is a piece of string question

from memory i paid $340 on ebay for 2 x kegs; 1 reg; disconnects, hose, tap & shank

Right now on ebay there are numerous keg systems for sale.

1/ 2 x kegs, regulator, hoses, disconnect fittings and beer tap or pluto $330

2/ 1 x keg, regulator, hoses, disconnect fittings and hand held plastic tap $205

Give Ross from Craft brewer (site sponsor located above) a call and I am sure he can give you a quote based upon your budget and suggest further upgrades later on.

There was a guy from Melbourne selling kegs and fittings, from memory his kegs were two for $110 as a start up price, but cant find post at this stage.
