Growler Bulk Buy

I have been looking at getting some growlers but am having trouble finding them easily. Then I came across these keg king ones which are much more impressive than your regular growler. They are vacuum walled so you dont need an esky to keep them cool which is a major plus in my opinion.

Here is the description from the keg king catalog.


I have had a chat to Keg King regarding a bulk buy of Growlers and they said minimum buy would be 48 growlers at $17.05 each (normally $30). Keg King also said that in order to keep their retailers happy they would not be doing a growler bulk buy again for another 18 months. They asked me to make that clear in this post so people dont ask them again.

Shipping to my address in Brisbane for all 48 will be about $34.

Now 48 is a lot of growlers and I definitely dont need that many. I would however be happy to buy 10.

In order for me not to have to package up 38 individual growlers and post them off I would prefer it if people requested a minimum of 4 or more per person. That will keep the hassle of on-shipping down to a minimum.

Pickup from my house in Paddington, Brisbane 4064 is ok as well.

Each growler box is about 13cm x 13cm x 32cm (I am guessing they are about 1-2kg)

So a package of 4 would be about 26x26x32cm 4-6kg
Shipping to Sydney via regular post would be $21.60 with signature and insurance (preferred and only $4 extra)

Which would then work out to about $22.50 per growler.

If anyone knows a better cheaper postage solution for shipping let me know but I would be using that method for every package.

Lastly I have not confirmed this but I have heard of people being able to pickup bulk buys from the Melbourne store so I am sure this is possible too. Please keep them to orders of 4 or more as well or I think Kee at Keg King might not want to allow pickup.

If someone in Melbourne wants to put their hand up for picking up the whole lot and shipping that would be appreciated as well. Would save us a bit more on costs.
