Vinegar is your friend.

I find a good dose of Five Star PBW shifts most crud.
Well I left it soaking for 24hrs each with sodium metabisulphate, vinegar & starsan. None seem to have done anything! The vinegar was some apple cider stuff my housemate had in the cupboard so probably need to get the full on stuff I'm guessing.

What's the significance of the beer name, Spiesy?

Barack Obama once joked he'd been to 57 states, but couldn't make it to Alaska....

It's a rap from Ol' Dirty ******* in Shimmy Shimmy Ya.

"For any MC in any 52 states
I gets psycho killer Norman Bates"

Well, my ingredients haven't all arrived, so I guess I'm out.
Sorry Spiesy, definitely going to Full Pint next time.
Very annoyed!

I should add, I'm not liking that your ingredients haven't arrived, that's always disappointing. Sorry to hear.

Dry hopped my brew this weekend (I'm doing it for less days than the recipe stated) and looking to bottle it tomorrow. The smell from the fridge was fantastic! Fingers crossed this one will come out grand.

Looking forward to it Dan. My two brews are both in the fermenters crackling along nicely. Ended up using the MJ West Coast and MJ British Ale yeasts.

Bottled my APA last night. Smelled and tasted bloody fruity from the fermenter. Hopefully I have not gone a bit over the top with the hop flavours.

I brewed an english pale today, hopefully It will be ready in time for the event. If not I'll just have to drink everyone else's beer!

Great stuff Jesse. Yummmm.

I am removing my rye beer as it turned out way too dark. Still a nice beer but not a pale ale.

How much beer do we need for the competition? I don't have much of my EPA left, hopefully I still have enough for the warthog and merry comps.

I think the pale ale tasting at the July meeting will be a bit more informal than the one we had at Temple but two litres is good to aim for.

Have we set a venue, date and time for the July meeting yet?
