Dry hop with 20gms Williamette after Racking

So mikem108, that recipe was pretty close to the mark in your opinion?

I thought there would be a touch of crystal in that brew but I am only guessing.

After a couple of months in the bottle it tasted very close, will be making it again this year.

Ok, drifting off-topic from the recipe...BUT...

I only just tried the JS IPA tonight and I can honestly say it is by far the best commercially brewed beer I have ever tasted! :chug:

Everything else has either too much aroma, too little bitterness, not enough maltiness, etc...but this stuff rocks it :beerbang:

Once I'm up to speed and past extracts I'll be sure to copy that recipe :)

PZ.

*drunken spelling edit*

For Kits & Bits try...

Coopers IPA + Goliaths IPA MAsterbrew + 1.5kg LME + 25gms of Hops Northdown or POR...

Make up the masterbrew with 5ltrs of water and add the hops and boil for 20mins.
Strain into fermenter with Can of goo and LME.

Use 1084 Irish Ale Yeast.

Thanks Kenny, I'll give it a shot

PZ.

*EDIT* - I've never seen a Cooper's IPA kit...am I missing something here?

Sorry GMK, thanks Aaron, I stand corrected.
Not seen those before.
Now why can't Coles and Woolies(and even my LHBS!) stock them instead of all those crappy tooheys and Wander etc?

I'm fairly confident that range is only available through HBS. Ask your HBS to get it for you.

nope i have seen them in coles and woolies. depends which shop you visit i guess.
