Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere (I couldn't find it in a search).

But, could I turn an inline oxygenation unit, into an inline carbonation unit?

By changing the micro stone, and changing the oxygen bottle for a C02 bottle would it carbonate the beer? or just froth everywhere?

Cheers

Adam

In theory it could work, but greatly depends on the actual oxygenation unit you have in mind.

Pics or link?

can be done, is in fact in done in every post-mix machine in every pub.
can it be done easily, reliably and as this AHB cheaply? Not a chance in hell, too many variables that all have to be taken in to account, temperature of the beer, flow rate, bubble size, number of bubbles, dwell time...
and all to achieve something that can be done with a couple of minutes work with existing equipment and gives reliable results.
I would put it down as a complete WOFTAM except that its fun to think about, your starting point would be to have a look at some existing designs.
I know industrial dispense companies are already experimenting with over gravity flat beer in a box, diluted and carbonated in-line on the way to the tap, probably wont be the beers I want to drink tho.

Thanks for the reply Mark.
The temperature issue would be easily dealt with I think, but the rest near pretty hard.
What is WOFTAM?
seems like it might be more work than its worth.
