I looked at wholesalers a while ago and unfortunately thay all want to sell in wholesale lots. The smallest number I could get them to consider was around 100.

How many bottles are you after and when do you need them? I have a few crates of wine bottles in the garage at the moment. They are ones I have emptied myself so they may not give you a nice matched set but we can probably get close. I drink enough wine that I can replenish my supply of empties pretty quickly.

Cheers

im not in a rush as im going to be away for a while ill get in touch with you when i get back dave

i opened one the other day and it was great. infact im doing a second batch

Mead does seem to get better the longer you keep it. That's half the problem with it tho.Continual sampling does tend to deplete the stock.

hence doing it again, plus i have 3 5L batches of meads going right now

Probably a little late for this one, but as for the SO2 measurement; why not measure out 10g, then mix it with 100mL of water and use a syringe to add 5 mL to the must?

Cheers,
TSD

thats not a bad idea thanks mate
