Obtained a dead fridge and currently holding nicely at 18 degrees with a batch of Yorkshire Bitter and only 3 frozen two litre PETs so I'm now officially in business (it was 34 ambient yesterday and probably got up to 38 in the garage).
I'm using 30L barrel screw top 'standard' fermenters and can fit one in fridge with a skinny Willow jerry alongside, and was thinking of using jerry for secondary. However I'm iffy about not being able to get my hand in to clean and yorkie trub sticks like the proverbial to the blanket.
I've seen photos of brewers using 2 bucket style snap lid fermenters one above the other. They look a lot more squat than the barrels and I'm hoping they would fit. I won't be using airlocks - plug with a cotton ball.
Could anyone be kind enough to grab a tape and just measure height of bucket? Of course it's Sunday and only LHBS that sells them is about 40k away so it would
Cheers
