I have a little gut, but nothing to worry about. That's been made by many, many pizzas and other assorted crap I eat rather than the beer (which is burnt up when I'm at work). However, beer does have quite a few calories when compared to, say, spirits.
 
Dont worry folks, I've just done a little research and as near as I can determine, a glass of beer is about 160 calories and sleeping burns up 55 calories per hr. Therefore, simple logic says that every time you have a glass of beer, you must have a three hour nap!

So is there any correlation between gut size and dog size?

I'm a Skinny prick 6"1,and 72 kg.
But I've gotta add that when it comes to Dogs in my diet.
the only Dog I'd advocate consuming is the "HAIR OF THE DOG" :chug:

The short answer - Beer is no worse than any other food containing the same numbber of kilojules. Alcohol does cut down on eating inhibitions and stimulates the apetite making it more likely you will pig out on greasy chiips or a huge kabab.

In spite of all this the amazing fact is that beer drinkers tend to be thinner on average than non drinkers. No one knows why.

Not only pointless (in someone without an actual deficiency) but in some cases dangerous as well.

As for me = 6'3" dunno how much I weigh. Prety skinny though. I did get a bit of a gut a few years ago mostly through sitting on my arse behind a desk all day. I took up sword fighting and burned it off again. its amazing how much weight you burn up swinging a broadsword for 3 hours a week while wearing armour...
