So I must have not been paying much attension last night when I made my starter. I did notice the colour of the starter was rather dark, but today when I got home from work I noticed i made my starter looked a bit small.

So at a guess I think i made a starter that was 150g LDME in 500ml. Hence very high gravity.

I figure the yeast would be rather stressed but what to do.

Boil another 1L of water
Boil another 50g DME in 1.5L water
Either of the above plus pitching new yeast or
Make a whole new starter

I would rather not pitch new yeast, but if it is reccommended I will.

Well I went 50g in 1.5L water. Yeast seemed to like it, firing along this morning.
