Started beer brewing back around 1995, mostly from tins. Would go at it for a couple of years , break for a few then repeat.
Had a couple attempts at brewing from scratch, but found the effort combined with my laziness was not a good combination so stuch with tins. Also got into doing an annual batch of plum spirit using the fruit from a tree I have.
Have come off the back of about a 10 year break (with the exception of making a couple of batches of Mango wine while in Darwin a few years ago) and am getting back into things like ginger beer, cider (pear and apple) and wines (wine grapes, plums and apricots (not off to a good start as you'll possibly see in my forum question ).
