Kegged my beer yesterday for the first time, cleaned throughly & sanitized with brew shield all good :)

i forced carbonated to about 300kpa shook keg till it dropped to about 100-150kpa then repeated

left it over night tried it today holds a great head but still tastes flat? pumped it up to 300kpa again and have now left it again to absorb (have the keg in a chesty at 2C)

am i doing anything wrong or am i being impatient? :p

Have a read through this, great info on kegging and where I learnt I should set and forget

I think I have had the same issue with a hefeweizen, in trying to make it highly carbed I actually overcarbed it and while it poured with a huge head tasted very flat.

You might need to try actually purging the keg by pulling the pressure release valve and then shaking and repeating now and then throughout the day until the pour gets better.

Also make sure you are opening the tap fully
