Growler Fills?

Hey guys. A question that i've been curious about for a while.

I have a few growlers from a few different breweries - 4 Pines, Six Strings, Lobethal, Beer Cartel etc.

Is there an unwritten rule with regards to filling growlers at certain brewries? i.e, can i take a 4 Pines growler and get it filled at Riverside Brewing, or take a Six Strings growler and get it filled at 4 Pines?

I once asked the guy at Six Strings and he didnt care what growler he filled, at least we're buying their beer. I'm hoping all places have this same opinion.

Any experiences where breweries have turned their nose up at other breweries' growlers or squealers?

Matilda Bay generally swap it over for a fresh one each time so not sure how that would work but maybe they just fill instead of changeover in that scenario.

Beer cartel told me they didn't care, and they were pretty sure Murray's was the same way
