why does that picture always comes up? just wondering? "we had that problem too pic"

Because stu is selfish and ignores the people who object to his signature.

+1 or +2 or however many for the 5-10% Caraaroma plus a bit of roasted barley. I made up a recipe a few months back where I used 300g Caraaroma (6.6%) and 100g black patent. It turned out a really nice ruby red colour. I will be brewing it again because the other half really enjoyed it, as did I, but this time I'm thinking about reducing the black patent to 50g, or swapping it out for 50g roasted barley instead just to lighten it a bit. This is a photo of what the beer looked like:

Cheers mate! The rest of the grain bill was 4kg ale malt and 200g carapils. I think it makes a nice base for an ale of that type of color. You could play around with hop additions to create different flavours too. It comes out pretty sessionable at 4.3% ABV - or at least that batch did. I wouldn't expect it to get much more than that with my efficiency though. :)

Looks sensational mate, could you describe the flavour for us?. I'm guessing it'll be nice and caramelly??

I am unsure how to re-post an image.

But, yes, Caraaroma works well for making a beer red. Just be aware that that there will obviously also be flavour, mouthfeel and balance changes, and you should be designing a beer to drink as well as look at.

ED: re-post, not re-pot. If an image has outgrown its pot, then it has probably gone viral and should be disposed of in the bin rather than re-potted and risking a disease spread to the rest of your image garden

No one ever said, "I just want to look at that beer. " ;) But then I myself have been working on a "red" to commemorate the awesome folks I used to drink/do crazy **** with in the States.
