thirsty nice work. what you want is for a bulk buy to be arranged for the same time as a case swap! disaster! a heap of box trailers rocking up to a caseswap and drunk guys trying to measuer out masisve amounts of grain and get it home. hilarious.

Once my AG setup is up and running and I need to participate in a bulk buy, I have a 4x4 that im happy use to assist.

Great work Thirsty. I could help with that once I get my AG set up complete.
I have a box trailer with high sides and live in Werribee so could be a guy for the Western Suburbs.

Im Always happy to be, and have in the past, been a pickup location in the inner west.

As in previous BB's I'm happy to help with collection and storage.

I have a van that can fit 20 bags and enough dry garage space for storage.

So we have two options here and I reckon we can get this going.

Option 1;
Kleiny looks like he will do the money collection. I'd say we've got enough pick up and collection points. We can then do the standard Craftbrewer bulk buy by the sack with pickup at Derrimut. This will require the collection point people to help load unload the bags. I'll help there and it sounds like others will too.

Option 2;
Thirsty's rather promising idea. If this comes into fruition it would be a real goer. Best we stay posted for this.

With Devo on board this means North/West suburbs people have storage for up to around 30 sacks. Thanks for that Devo. If your shagging wagon holds extra I can grab 12 in my Camry I'm sure between us we can store around 40 bags.

You bet mate, i cant wait for my new kit to arrive. How did the rook get off the hook for this one? :p

I'll offer up a collection point for the East. I'm in Box Hill South. I can transport about 12 extra sacks. do we have a list going?

Maple. Starting ordering away.

I'd say our bases are covered for pick up and collection points. Kleiny said he might be able to collect the money. That notwithstanding I've got a hunch somebody will.

Wazza,
Not in this B/buy but keen for the Thirsty boy's trailer load and sack race.

BTW: the malt goes up in price on Tuesday the 1st I believe (not an April fool joke) & thru Ross the min is 20 sacks.

Yeah Luke if Thirsty's is indeed a goer it would be a better prospect. Only problem is it doesn't cater for the continental malt snobs. I was only going to order BB malts myself. So we can always hang tight and see what Thirsty proposes.

If it comes off it could be happy days. B)

As for the price rise I think we'll be pushing **** uphill to get this order through before it. Means having all monies to Ross by Tuesday. Can't see that happening.

+1

I reckon for the next bulk buy I'll whack together a simple website with order submission and PayPal facility. The site would then track orders, who has paid, #of bags, progress of buy, etc. Would both automate and simplify the admin side of things, ongoing.

In regard to this BB, I can borrow my mother in law's car with trailer, as required.

As I don't have a grain mill, I'll be leaning on some kind soul to crack 'em every other week or so. My birthday is coming up in two weeks, too ;) . I think a bright shiny mill would be the perfect addition to my brewery, atm

Right "O"

im happy to take the money and work on an order / PM me with your orders and i will start colating them.
probably could get it to ross by tuesday if everybody got on board quick by the end of the weekend.
Just emailed Ross to find out details on the price rise and wether we can beat it, i will post again soon.

if Thirsty can get BB off the ground im in i can probably even bring a 5tonne truck and drop off on the way back to Bendigo if people can pitch in for fuel.
I have access to a bagging shute but i dont know how it would fit on the truck or how clean it is ( used on the farm for everything from grain to Super

Cheers Kleiny!

I reckon it's possible to get an order by Tues. Those who miss it, miss it and we'll do another one.. a wave 2. If I take 4 bags, Devo 4, Warren 4, you 4, we're already up to 16. What's the best way to get you money? Direct deposit to your bank account? Do you have a PayPal account?

reVox

edit: i have no idea what everyone is ordering- just throwing #'s out there for thought.

Vote 1 Kleiny for PM. Cheers for that. You're a good sport. :D

I'll go
1 x BB Ale
1 x BB Pale (Pils)

I'll try and get in contact with Rook and put his through too.
