Yes our annual pilgrimage to South East QLD kicks off on 8th Dec this year. We (SWMBO) and the 2 Billy Lids are staying at Kirra for 2 weeks. Any good pubs or brewing related sights that must be visited in SEQLD?
I am sure someone would recommend a drive to Carbrook, but apart from that where should I go?

Just back from Brisbane. If going north be prepared for lots and lots and lots of traffic on the road. Beach at Kirra has a pub bar, Pizza Hut for the kids and lovely warm water. Just don't get fussy with the beer on tap. Three kinds, XXXX, XXXX Gold and Tooheys New. There was talk a few weeks back about a brewery on the Gold Coast - find some Qlders and demand they help you find said establishment and drink with you !

Burleigh Brewing would not be too far away.
I don't have he address with me off the top of my head, but there is a thread about it on here somewhere.

Cheers
Josh

There is the Belgian Beer Bar at the Pink Poodle up in surfers. Otherwise you can usually throw a rock and hit a surf club, but beer is not their forte.

Or you could move your trip up a week and come to the Qld Xmas Case swap ;)

Will you have internet while up here?

Can probably make a tour of the brewbots and sample what we have on tap.

How's this for a killer day:

1. Brad's for a look at brewbot2 and whatever he has on tap
2. My place for a look at brewbot the orignal and whatever I have on tap
3. Scoot out to Burleigh Brewing for the afternoon tour of the brewery and some samples
4. Stop of at the Pink Poodle for some Belgians
5. I've heard there is a brewery at Carbrook with a bloke that knows a thing or two :)

The next day would be a liver free zone.

But jeez I would imagine coordinating the permission slips from all the SWMBO involved would be horrible.

Great offer! But I am not sure even I could cash in enough browie points to go out on the piss for a day on the family holiday. Esspecially when my Mrs thinks she's getting away to get a break from all things brewing. (poor mistaken soul) Leave it with me and I may make contact a =t a later date.

Going to Carbrook = picking up supplies, brewing related yes but... = saving money on courier/postage...
