Just had a thought, doesn't seem like you've carbed too much if it slows to a dribble on dropping pressure to 6psi.
You might have lines too long, especially if it is 4mm or 5mm ID instead of 6mm. Try a line balancing calculator or slowly raise keg pressure seeing if it stops spewing froth. Extra long line at low pressure also causes gas to come out of solution in the line.
