howsit,

whats the difference (if any) between the fridgemate and the tempmate? does anyone have a preference to one or the other? need temp control for a spare fridge so i can start brewing again as soon as possible.
thanks
rob

As far as I'm aware, the tempmate will cool & heat withough having to stuff around with settings. The fridgemate can still do both, but you have to change the settings.

Yep, agree with HB79. I use a fridgemate for my fermenter fridge and changing from cooling to heating takes all of about 30-40 seconds.

As the others have said:
Fridgemate can be set manually to either heat or cool, but it can only do one or the other at any one time.
Tempmate has 2 outlets 1 for heating and 1 for cooling, it will automatically switch between the two as required.

if you want a more in depth answer to your question than has been provided, then do a seach in the gear and equipment thread and the retail shop thread. heaps of threads on fridgemate v tempmate.
