Fridge Problems

I have noticed my keg fridge is running more and more to maintain the same temp.

It runs for say 15 - 20 minutes and cuts off but then restarts 5 minutes later - I assume it is doing this round the clock. The fridge is abt 10 years old and up till now has been good to me. It is in the garage which gets pretty warm in summer - don't know if that mattters or not.

Has any one else had similar issues?

Do you think regassing will help?

Or does it sound terminal??!!

Sounds like it's spending a lot of time keeping itself cool :huh:

I'd suggest getting it re-gassed and see how you go.

If it is spending 75% of it's time running (15 on, 5 off) then I'd imagine you can expect the compressor life to be considerably shortened
