Hello everyone,

I just put together a T.U.B.S. Premium Bavarian Wheat kit and think the SG is a bit high.
I just used the kit ingredients (cause I'm still a newbie at all this, and the guy at my HBS assured me that I didn't need to add anything extra...) as instructed, but my first reading of the hydrometer was 1.068. The instructions state that the final gravity should be around 1.006.
This seems to me to be a very large drop in gravity?

well i just looked back on my records and i did a muntons wheat beer about a month ago, SG. 1044 FG 1010, looks like you probably never mixed up your can of extract properly when you tossed it in the fermenter, and a lot of the mix settled to the bottom and near the tap, this would give you the high reading.
cheers

You could be onto something there...
Thought I gave it a pretty good stir, but that would explain it.
Thanks
