Hi Batz,

I've been using a carbonation cap like this for about five years. I don't find it useless, but I only use it for carbonating a small amount (1.5 - 2 litres at a time) to test a batch. It's also useful to recharge soft drinks that have lost their "fizz" and to make soda water also.

Wally

Wally, That cap looks great, where did you get that cap from and how much are they?
Cheers,
FBL

They're not cheap for what they are - I've seen them for not much less than $30... A piece of kit that small would be lost in no time in my brewery!

I've talked to a couple of people who use them, but they just carb up small amounts (1-2L at a time) to take a beer on a picnic/tasting/party... Not sure if they're meant to carb up well for months?
