Fibre Seal For Langco Urn

Any ideas please?

The fibre seal between the element and urn base (Langco urn) has decided to leak. Having searched high and low I am unable to locate a new seal without buying the whole $80 element and seal as a unit. The seal has a 40 mm ID and probably could be made from some red fibre sheet if only I could locate that. Has anyone got any bright ideas as to an alternative seal?

Thanks chaps for the quick replies.
I like the silicone tray idea and after dodging the Minister of War the very item was discovered lurking in one of the kitchen cupboards.

Final note on the silicone idea, works perfectly, just means baking five muffins at a time now instead of six.
