i use white masonite to skin my smaller fermenting fridge door and it worked no problems.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up going with cor-flute from Bunnings although now the door is too light and won't shut properly....a latch of some description should fix it. Now it seems I have a functioning brewery :) (albeit only BIAB at this stage), now I just need to come up with a witty name for it.

Are you using something that isn't the original seal?
The seals are usually magnetic, so that's what holds the fridge closed

No, its the original seal. I'm not sure it is an issue though, I've got the power cable for the heat pad and temp probe going through the door anyways. I'm not sure what others do with their cables?

I just stick mine in the door in the bottom corner. It leaves a small gap between the seal and the fridge, but doesn't seem to have any impact on the heating/cooling ability.

Drilled a small hole in the back of mine to get the cables through, was originally thinking of trying to get them through the same hole the original fridge cables go through but it was too much feckin around
