I'm trying to put the potentials for Thomas Fawcett grains into Promash. The Maltcraft page ( here ) lists max potential yields as Degree/kg Miag 2. :blink:

Is there an easy way tp convert these to percentages ?

Goat, I'm trying to do the same thing. Bought my first few kilos of TF the other day.

Is this how you work it out guys.

eg. Marris Otter Pale Malt=305
Sugar=386

Then 305/386=0.7901
=79%

Just guessing but is this right?

Thanks JD

Spot on, Justin. Most malt spec sheets actually give the percentage extract rather than the exrtact value though.

Jovial Monk, I had a look on the TF site and they also give the specifications in metric. Unless they are hiding imperial measurments somewhere else where I can't find them..

Thanks Justin - its all very logical when you put it like that.....:)

JM, as Murray points out, the Fawcett UK site that I looked at had the same figures as the Maltcraft. I did look at the site prior to posting the query....
