Extinguisher Head

Guys,

A few quick questions about my new extinguisher I have picked up (see attached image) :

- Is this the right thread for a CO2 regulator to fit straight on or will I need to swap it out for another?

- When I removed the diptube the brass fitting comes with it (ie. there attached), Should I either just put in another brass fitting? or cut the diptube to about 10mm left?

(The brass fitting holds the spring in place for the handle).

The head reads:

ME 5.40

Looks about right thread for the reg.Should be a nylon or fibre washer tween reg and head

The alloy dip tube"should" unscrew from the brass fitting(shifter on brass and vice grips on tube). If not cut alloy flush with the brass fitting

MF - ME = 3.5.....KG means the head is from a 3.5kg co2 bottle
