EXTERIOR HOUSE COLOUR

So we are in the process of the building....and I really love the idea of a light grey colour for the outside of the house - But everyone is saying NO because it just looks like cement....other option is a light cafe latte colour..... Any suggestions on colours?

Here's some ideas: 1- ask your local council and find out what's allowed. 2- ask the wife and find out what she prefers. So far everybody's happy.
3- ignore the above and go for something like this :

Have a look at "Dune" we repainted our house a couple years ago, the roof is "woodland grey" this is an image of the cottage we painted first as a proof of concept.

A work in progress, the right hand side wall is "Dune" the roof is already painted, wall behind deck is original white, sorry about the sun glare it was my son being arty farty with his drone.
