You'd be surprised how much people will pay for these things. I looked at one in Melbourne a few years ago, but bailed out when the price hit $250. I think it ended up selling for around $400 (possibly more).

I think you are spot on there, that is pretty common with the way eBay ranks your listing, sales history is taken into account when working where your add sits in search results and if you cancel the listing the history is lost so it unfortunately makes people use this work around until they get more stock in.

Frost-Free Upright Freezer, 213L, Ascot Brisbane. $149.

I've got a similar freezer and with a STC-1000 it makes the perfect fermentation chamber. Would jump on this myself but the missus would kill me if I bought another fridge or freezer.

Put in some plywood shelves and it's the duck's nuts.
