Im meant to be using a pipette???

I dip my finger in the sample and put a drop on the refractometer. I figure its not going back in the fermente so so risk of infection. Far as i know no sugar on my finger so shouldnt affect the reading.

Or am i just a lazy prick.

There'd be oils on your finger - to some degree, and I'd rather not risk melting my skin off with boiling wort...

Dammit! I picked up 4 kegs from them on Saturday and would have taken the gas bottle + reg. 2 1/2 hour round trip to Hornsby Heights from Newtown...
