Defining A Clone?

What defines a clone beer? Cloning is a exact copy of a cell, how can we clone a beer? I apologise for the stupid question but I am honestly interested as to why its called a clone beer. :huh:

ha ha, yeah just checking I thought the same thing but was just over thinking and thought maybe it had something to do with the yeast strain?? or something. I just feel strange telling my friends I have a clone beer and it got me wondering.
