Yeah, who'd have thought? What would be really cool is if Coopers brewed a saison as a seasonal.....funny.

Ingredients
1.7kg Thomas Coopers Wheat Beer
1.7kg Coopers Australian Pale Ale
500g Light Dry Malt
25g pack of Saaz Hop pellets (use none, half or all)
11g Belle Saison yeast (or Saison yeast of your choice)
I'm actually tempted to try this one, seeing I've been investigating saisons recently.

So are Coopers now selling little packs of hops and specialty yeasts as generally available items or are they just part of their "recipe packs?"

If not then why not?

(I don't go their site as I can't be bothered putting in a fake birth date then navigating their ancient order of wizards brew cave shyte w&nk stuff)

Not bad value considering free shipping worthy contender for battle of the toucans.

I think you only can get the hops and yeasts with the recipe pack.
Click on Tricache's link it goes straight to the business. I hate the website too.

Made an order today price is not too bad and saves hunting around for yeast and hops. Don't think I have ever had a Saison do Dan's stock any might be an idea to try a commercial one first.

I have a saison in the fermenter at the moment, but I've never tasted one before. I'm really not sure what to expect. This one had honey and black pepper in it, and the yeast is supposed to bring out estery banana, bubble gum and clove flavours. I'm trying to imagine what it'll taste like, but I'm struggling.

Dans Dont stock a Saison, about the closest thing you could find is LaChouffe, but its a belgian blond, lovely beligan aromas and similar general beer colour/mouthfeel/head but not the subtle tartness or same spice you'd get in a saison. but a great beer.

Best local version I had was prickly Moses saison.

If the pricks would brew it more and distribute it wider!
