G'day fellow booze hounds,
What is the general opinion on how long to leave ginger beer in the bottle before sampling? I am itching to try it!

For a straight kit I'd be thinking 6 weeks minimum.

Trying one early won't kill you though - give it a crack whenever you're ready.

I reckon a week so it's carbed, then see still think it will be 3-4 weeks til it's in it's prime.

Yeah its a straight kit with extra fresh ginger, lemon juice and a chilli as well as a bottle of ginger refresher.

Depending on how much ginger and how you used it I'd be inclined to knock my estimate back to 4 weeks.

All the basic kit ginger beers no extra ginger I have made have tasted there best after 2 months

a bit long to wait but well worth it
