The Digiboil and Brewzilla 3.1 has the tap in the main body of the vessel and makes for a great drain under gravity to your cubes. A nice trub cone and allowing for lost wort.

It doesn't make a great deal of difference what you are using it is just about trying to prevent hot break going into the fermenter. Not only is it not good for the finished product but it also distorts one's efficiency.

What I do is transfer the clear wort from the kettle to the fermenter, empty the dregs of the kettle into a large jug and put in the fridge to clear.

Take the clear wort up to around 80C and bottle and use for starters.

Thank you. Very helpful
That’s a brilliant idea to save the dregs and use the clear wort for starters.
Thanks again

It isnt about "Bling". One of the best home brewers I know used an old esky and a slashed beer keg to turn out the finest beer you'll find.

It’s about process and doing the basics right.
I’m not a big fan of brewziller but at worst you could syphon from the top down leaving the trub, or dump the trub like weal does, fit another tap to the brewzilla... lots of ways to do it, but ffs leave hot break out of your beer!
Mark
Thanks Mark
