I've done about five or six BIAB beers here in the US and have had great luck, but I saw a post on a forum here by a guy who dunk sparged with cold water for a few brews and got beers that stayed cloudy each time. I don't think he used whirlfloc, which is what I would attribute the cloudiness to, but he and others seem to think that it has to do with the water being cold... Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this? His reason for doing a cold dunk was that his kettle was too small and he couldn't (for some reason) heat the sparge water. I don't really have a reason to do this, but now I'm curious and I would like to pass on any info to the original poster.
