Does anyone know how to clean regulator, I think I got a bit of beer blow back.
It is working OK, but acts a bit weird. You have to turn it to find a place where it works, not smooth turning like it was I have opened and tried to clean but wonder if there was a way to clean the plate etc..Maybe an alcohol or soap?
or new one?

thanks

Everyone should have a non return valve to their regulator, can be expensive if you don't.
What make is it?
You will also need to clean and sanitise that gas line.

mmm not sure sure the brand.. I can check... the standard regulator that came in kit with Kegs...
Think is was about 60.00 or 70.00. Yes should have non return, but you learn what they are when you needed one :)

* KegKing, checked

I have opened it before to check before and looks fine, just turning the screw is tight.

Thanks - the reg. is pretty new...
I was thinking just hot water or steam...? If you look at it visually it looks brand new..(the replacement parts you sent) tks

Unscrew the pressure adjustment screw that is tight and put some keg lube (or smear some oil if no lube) on the thread and things will be a lot easier.

Have you pulled the cartridge/seat out and inspected it?

I have never pulled apart one of those domestic use regulators before, but if beer has migrated back to the reg, you should be able to see it straight away.

I would definitely not use steam or water on anything internal in a reg. If the consumables are knackered, I would just replace them.

but if beer has migrated back to the reg, you should be able to see it straight away.
I will amend that statement. Commercial cartridges look like this, and any moisture is immediately evident. I just had another look at the KK ones. They have nothing at the back.

Thanks. I took apart and all looked ok, but I rubbed off dirt on rubber and seals , clean with non static cloth... all seems ok now and better, adjusting gas is better. thanks for the help, bit of dirt I think the issue... cheers
