I met Les Hill once. It was at Australia's wonderland, and I was a teenager.

He was there, with his girlfriend and a couple of other young stars. However- there was a back door to the stage area where Les and his gf were gettin' all hot and heavy on a couch in full view of anyone who walked past! He was also walking around smoking, and we overheard his PA or manager or something telling him to stop it out in public with all the impressionable teenage girls around!

All the girls were all upset that he'd even bought his girlfriend (you know teenage girls) but then to be doing that- they were mortified!

I also met Brian Rooney (of the ABC Show GP) fame at the same event. Now he was a good lad.

I have met Eddie Van Halen and his old bass player Michale Anthony, Back stage at there Sydney and Newcastle shows.

Walking through a door at an Eastern Suburbs pub. A dude going through the other way held it open for me. It was Heath Ledger. Legend.

*melt* *sigh*
a girl in our group kept looking at him and getting strange looks back. Later she realised her top was a bit off centre and a fair bit of her bra was showing. Fun times. :icon_chickcheers:

Actually the best one I can claim is I sat next to Abi Tucker, (from teen soap Heartbreak High), in year 6 primary.

I work in a Casino, in the high rollers rooms........

I could tell many stories, but that's the sort of stuff we sign forms about.

And that's where a few beers on the AHB pub crawl comes in handy. :icon_cheers:

I got into the AFI awards after party at the Hilton in Melbourne a few years ago. Wall to wall A, B and C grade celebrities. Many very attractive starlets!!
I did manage to accidentally brush past Nicole Kidman despite the aisle being 10 foot wide.

Hmmm frottage

Cheers
Chris

I saw Nick Cave with the bad seeds right in front of me at a Nick Cave and the bad seeds concert. They were like totally performing right there on the stage.

I love it when crazy coincidences happen.

I've met a fair few famous muso's in my time, and more famous than the following, but one brush with "fame" i'll never forget happened a few years back when a mate and myself were walking through a shopping centre in Sydney's north.
Back then I was renowned for sporting a mane of brown shoulder length curls and a handlebar mustache, often mistaken as "the guy from Thirsty Merc"...the band. Loe and behold on this very day walking through the shopping centre, my mate and I find ourselves walking straight towards my doppleganger, Rai Thistlethwayte (the singer from Thirsty Merc), and his entourage. Without saying any words (they weren't required), we preceeded to give each other the silent nod of approval whilst walking by one another, with possibly just a hint of evil eye thrown in for good measure.

tenuous link, but nonetheless - my fiancees cousin...

I could probably count on my hands the number of words I ever exchanged with him...

You sh*thead bribie. I don't think i'll ever get to meet Ross.

I spose it would help if i was in the right area of the world.

I'm famous. I was on the SBS tv show Rockwiz. Maybe you'll meet me soon and then you can tell everyone on this site you post alongside a guy who was on a tv show hardly anyone watches on a late Saturday night timeslot AND a regular poster on a homebrew forum.

We have a winner :p

Was selected to spend 3 days training with Mark, Steve & Brad Waugh when I was about 14.
Also played quite a bit of indoor cricket with/against Micheal Clarke (his dad owned the centre and he used to fill in for any teams missing players all the time), but that's not real exciting for me, he's a fuckwit, a dead set fuckwit.

In my youth, lying on top of The Knoll on Old Woman Island, quiet as a mouse watching a well-known actress from a well-known Brissy family prance around in the nuddy. Worst part was having to slither down backwards to take my turn at keeping the surfboat off the rocks.

AND

Spent over 24 hours in hospital in the bed next to Our Wal. :super:

AND

Have also met Ross. B)
