I just want to express my appreciation for this site and what a fantastic resource it is.

I like the flexible format and the Aussie laid back style of the members. Nothing is ever taken too seriously although factual accuracy is valued highly.

Members welcome the beginner and the experienced.

I don't know the history or how this is funded, but cheers and thanks to who ever is behind it.

G'day Sah, the site is funded buy donations which you can make by clicking on the donations tab in the bottom left corner of your screen or buy puchasing AHB gear off GMK, if he's still taking orders.

I agree. Also, if every member donated $1 a year to remain subscribed, then I guess that would go a long way also.

It would be interesting if it could be determined how many dormant accounts are out there?

Way too many if you're on the fiorum regularly and see the same names popping up over and over again, but such is a public forum.
Maybe some people think it's too OTT... who knows.

Maybe hundreds of members lurk and read and only log on when they fell compelled to post? But yeah, there are probably 50-60 regulars.

I'll admit that this forum, like all other forums, is dominated by a group of regulars (of which I would count myself). The best way to support the site is to buy AHB gear (or donating), with GMK selling some really good caps and stubbie holders right now (come on! get some!).

Mika- well, I can see how some people can see that this forum is a little OTT- my friends keep saying that it's full of 'beer nerds', but any forum devoted to anything, be it a band, a TV show or beer is bound to attract people who take it seriously- and I've found that my absorption in this fine art of brewing has evolved and developed quicker because of the forum.

Anyway, what I've been meaning to say in this incredibly round about way is that this forum is fantastic! And I will support it all the way!
