Nah, I just loosely screw the lid on. Infact, using two of them right now in my fridge to ferment normal gravity stout (1.065) double batch and they haven't blown out of the top yet...

I bought two of these and I can't get them to seal properly either!

I ran a test run with plain boiling water. The lids screwed tight when cold but as soon as there was boiling water inside up to the lid the thread "jumped" just as described above! Both cubes do this :angry:

Never had this happen Guy, but if you're positive they dont seal, even following the advice given above re: cutting or sanding the moulding dags off, take them back and ask for a changeover
