Anyone got their March April edition yet?

I'm about 1/2 way through

There's a big section on brewing in Australia and an article on BIAB, no-chilling, and cube hopping by John Palmer

The Barossa Brewing Club has a short article and there's bunch of recipes from the Australian National Homebrewing Conference

Cheers

ooohhhh, i've watching the letterbox as i figured this was due soon!!!!!!!!

Heyguys can you tell if it will be at a newsagent yet? Or because you subscribe you get it first? I haven't got around to, or by the time I think of it, no space on the credit card to subscribing as yet.

Cheers

Won't be at the newsagent for quite a while yet, they're usually a month or two behind. The Jan/Feb issue just recently turned up at my local newsagent.

I didn't know that BYO sent copies to newsagents - are they specialised newsagents or have you requested that they get it in?

Not seen it in any newsagent around here

I subscribe - mine arrived yesterday

Cheers

I've seen it in Borders, but at $17 an issue (air freight), you are much better off subscribing.

Borders here in Sydney get them in much earlier as they fly them in not long after release. Very expensive though at about $13

They most certainly do. Funny enough I catch the train to work everyday and the Newsagency at the station has a very broad selection of mags, one being the BYO mag, which I buy religiously. The problem has been I never know when it's due out, hence my interest. It is a very good read and I notice that more than few Aussie's write to the mag regularly.

 Sad as it may seem, I then spend my travel time reading over and over the articles until the new one is released. There really aren't that many upto date resources for Home Brewing, such as BYO, that you can buy unfortunately. Even finding books that weren't written 10 years ago has had it's challenges.

Cheers for letting me know the new one is out I will have to see if I can get it on the way home tonight.

It just turns up in both the newsagents near me. Well it used to at least - I don't think I've seen it in one of them since they re-arranged their shelves a while back, but that could just be me.

Paid $14 for one in Borders once, but since then have been picking it up for $6.95 without any trouble. Really have to get around to subscribing one of these days though.

Good to see some local content. I thought the article by John Palmer was a bit confusing for those who didn't know what he was writing about. I think it would have been better if he'd separated the three 'radical' techniques more clearly. But overall some interesting articles.

Congrats to mikem for getting his recipe in there. :super:

Signed up for this mag before xmas but nothing in the post yet

Thanks Stu, heres hoping my copy is waiting in the post box for me tonight!

they haven't painted us all as a bunch of BIAB no-chill weirdo's have they?

some of us know how to use a tun and a heat-exchanger.

What did it say about cube hopping?

There was a discussion about increased bitterness from cube hoping at at rate of 40% of the normal bittering addition from memory

And talk about flavour implications.

Cheers

Is it available online anywhere? Cant get that mag anywhere here <_<

Mine arrived today ! Go to the BYO site where you can access some good stuff. If you can, subscribe. US$28 for 8 issues. Do it on line, pay via Paypal (if I remember right) - even with the exchange rate it's great value for money.

Surprised they didn't ask me to contribute to the Australian section !

You guys are gonna do in my credit card bill  haha

such bad (but good) influences...
